As I get older, I find it harder and harder to but gifts for parents. When we were kids we could throw a few scribbles on a piece of paper call it a card and parents were over the moon. Then in those teenage years, you could get them something you wanted and then commandeer it a few weeks later until they noticed… or maybe that wasn’t a thing for real but I definitely did it!
But when it comes to adulting, it often feels like there is more pressure to find the perfect gift for our parents who raised us all those years and still put up with watching kids or taking us to lunch on a random Tuesday. The past few years have taught me, it’s not about the material “perfect” gift to find but rather an experience gift or photos frozen in time really do the trick.
Chances are if you haven’t had family photos together since you were kids, the photos decorating the walls of your parent’s home are a bit outdated. Not only have fashion trends and hairstyles taken a turn but camera and photo print qualities have long surpassed those early 2000 years. That’s why when I get inquiries about a family photo session as a surprise for mom’s birthday or a Mother’s and Father’s Day combo or whatever other occasion you want to celebrate with photos, I am ALL in!
Start the photo session with some classic looking at the camera photos that mom always pined for when you were younger but you’d never cooperate for. Then throw in a few different poses and interactive moments for some fun. Not only do you get a session full of laughter rehashing inside jokes from when you were kids, you also get a print credit with each session to update those embarrassing photos of your childhood years on the walls of your parents’ homes.
If you’re ready to give a gift that your parents will cherish more than any trinket, get in touch and let’s surprise them with some beautiful photos!
