As a family photographer, I am always excited to capture beautiful moments and memories for families. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing this soon-to-be family of four at a new favorite location spot in downtown Milwaukee, Trestle Park. This spot is an amazing location hidden away near Riverfront Pizza in Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s third ward. Set on an old railway track, it has stunning views of downtown and the riverwalk which creates the perfect backdrop for capturing beautiful family moments.
Although the spring weather was chilly, this amazing family brought their warmest smiles and made the most of their urban setting session at sunset. Their outfits were wonderfully coordinated with light pastels giving a nod towards spring. Mom’s flowing dress in the wind helped create movement in the final images and, with a hand under her belly, highlighted this wonderful time of expectation for their family.
In the short amount of time allotted for the session, we were able to capture a multitude of different photos. From posed photos of smiling at the camera to candid moments of trying to keep each other warm, the variety of final images proved meaningful memories were made. It was heartwarming to see how much love and joy they held for one another and how excited they were to be adding to their family. The beautiful sunset provided a warm glow to the photos, emphasizing their loving atmosphere.
