If you’ve been following along with my blog, you may recall an early January entry about how this is the year of mini photo sessions for Weber Photography. I had so much fun with mini sessions last year that I made it a goal to try to host one mini session event per month around the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area throughout 2023. Today, I wanted to touch on why I enjoy mini sessions so much and why I think you should too!
Mini sessions are an optimal way to capture the joy and excitement in each season of life. Because sessions are a shorter, economical version of a full session, it is feasible to book multiple mini sessions throughout the year. Which is great when your littles are in the early stages of life and they change so much within just a few months.
Speaking of kids, mini sessions are perfect for children because of their fast-paced nature. Photos are captured efficiently and quickly so there’s less of a chance for meltdowns and feeling overwhelmed by too many photos being taken. Themed mini session up the ante for children because it gives them a chance to dress up and play with cute, festive props. Your little one will love getting into character and having fun while the camera captures all the magic.
When you involve the whole family in a mini session, you have the opportunity to bond and make new memories. In addition to the usual “sit and smile” photos, mini sessions allow for a few playful, interactive moments between family members.
