If you’ve been following along for any length of time, you know that I highly recommend including your fur babies in any and ALL photo sessions if possible. I have always considered dogs (or any pet for that matter) to be part of the family and therefore so important to be included in commemorative moments.

One especially important time in your life that I know is difficult to include pets in, is your wedding day. That’s why this session was extra special to capture! This beautiful couple is celebrating their one-year anniversary this year and while I wasn’t their day of wedding photographer, I did have the honor of capturing some special moments with their pups post wedding day. Here’s just a few reasons you should consider getting gussied up in your wedding attire for a secondary photo session!

Relive Your Special Day with Your Full Family

Wedding days are full of excitement and carrying out plans you’ve been making for months. But in order to get everything in and capture each moment, they can often feel rushed and sometimes stressful. Having a second session gives you the opportunity to relax and enjoy yourselves in your wedding attire. You can relive some of your favorite moments and put the cherry on top by including those special family members that maybe couldn’t come along for the big day.

Okay to Dirty Up the Dress

Now that you’ve seen each other on the day of your wedding and you’ve gotten the traditional photos out of the way, you don’t have to worry about keeping your outfits in pristine condition… heck, you may have even had something get spilled on you already. Enjoy some laid-back moments and let the dogs jump on you while the hem of your dress gets dirty or you get that meaningful paw print stamped on the white. The pressure is off with a secondary photo session so you can let loose and have fun!

More Special Moments One on One

Even though the point of this session may be to include your furry friends who weren’t around for that one, big special day, you also get the opportunity to have a few extra one on one moments with each other after the chaos and commotion has subsided. Enjoy the extra time with one another while having your photos taken for a second round of wedded bliss!
