In case you didn’t know, my undergraduate degree is in music with an emphasis in music theatre so I have had a fair amount of headshots taken throughout my performance career. Even post performing years when I went back to school to become a teacher, I needed headshots for that little email icon and sometimes just for fun. With my experience for having headshots taken and my empathy for performers who constantly need updated photos of themselves, I was positive my photography offerings needed to include headshots.

My favorite part of these sessions is finding a way to highlight each person’s unique personality through a photo that is primarily shoulders and higher. A tall order but who doesn’t love a challenge?! When you book your headshot session with Weber Photography you can bet we will have fun, laugh, and capture some authentic photos of your genuine self. Keep in mind, I like to get a few shots that are more than your traditional headshots in case you want to use them for a website or social media posts.

When dressing for your headshots, try to stick away from busy patterns and especially thin stripes that are close together. Patterns that have too much going on distract from your beautiful face and those thin stripes create a moire effect in the camera which creates a distortion on the image.
