I love birthdays! I love birthdays so much that I’ve been known to celebrate my half birthday... And when I was a child, every year my grandparents took me camping for a week which would typically fall around my cousin’s actual birthday. Being that I’m an only child, my grandparents didn’t want me to feel left out so we used to get a cake for my 3/4s birthday before the rest of the family joined us at the campground. That celebration kind of tapered off when I hit middle school but it was fun while it lasted.
When my daughter was born, I obviously took a LOT of photos. I got the newborn photos and through her first year I always took monthly photos with the stickers to say how old she was. But, thru an impromptu photo shoot, I also ended up catching her at 3-months in the same wrap as when I took her newborn photos. After realizing what I did, I bought her an outfit in roughly the same color for her 6- and 9-month photos and had my mom make her a dress for her birthday portrait.
From this succession, and wanting to offer high school senior photos, Weber Photography’s Milestone Sessions came to fruition. I figured the word “milestone” encapsulated all the moments we as parents want to catch as our little ones growing up. These sessions are meant to be solo sessions featuring your young-in at a meaningful time in their life.
